Make the perfect tile bag at Stoney Clover Lane

Spend an afternoon shopping the boutiques along 12 South. Find the perfect caftan at La Vie Style House, find your favorite scented candle at Nashville’s own Ranger Station or make the perfect custom mahjong tile bag at Stoney Clover Lane. My favorite lunches are the salads at The Henry, kale and grits at Buttermilk Ranch and the “lamb sandwich” at Epice.

Rustler Hat Company

When you come to Nashville, the perfect souvenir is always a custom hat. Located in The Gulch, you can customize a cowboy hat and add your favorite details at Rustler… perhaps even burning in your favorite mahjong line along the inside. FF 1111 2222 3333 is going to look great in my next Missy Mahjong hat.

Hike at Radnor Lake State Park

Lace up your walking shoes and head to Radnor for a loop around the lake. Keep your eyes peeled for a bald eagle sighting or the turtles swimming along the shore.

Country Music Hall of Fame

Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville

Spend a morning at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Splurge for the audio tour and plan to spend at least two full hours in the museum. Don’t skip out on the gift shop... some of my favorite items have been found here!

Cheekwood

Cheekwood Estate and Gardens is my favorite place to go for a leisurely walk and talk with a friend (or a podcast!). Be sure to check out the mansion and the latest exhibit. I like to imagine that Mabel Cheek hosted her friends in the library for mahjong games when the home was built in 1929.

Music City Mahjong

And of course, join Music City Mahjong at either the beginner table or for open play. Come meet some other Nashvillians and ask them what their favorite spots are in Music City.
