Nashville is known for its art and music scene. Did you also know that it is a growing mahjong mecca? Tables of mahjong players are popping up all around the city. If you are looking to join a free game, here are my favorite places to play mahjong in Nashville.

Music City Mahjong
Well, this is always my first suggestion! Our group offers free open play and learn to play mahjong events in Nashville. You can find us most Tuesday evenings in Green Hills playing at Sports and Social in the mall. We also have events planned throughout the city, including at wellness spas near Music Row, coffee shops in 12 South, Brentwood boutiques, restaurants in the Gulch and other city locations. All experience levels are welcome. Reservations are always required for a seat, and most events are totally free.
Brentwood Library
In Brentwood, mahjong players gather weekly on Mondays from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Everyone is welcome, but these Monday mahjong players usually have many years of experience.
Mahjong Monday in Franklin
Can you make it south of Nashville to the suburbs? On Mondays you can join other players at Fork of the South in the Factory at 5pm. All skill levels are welcome and these are free.
See you at the tile table
There are many other options to play mahjong in Nashville. The growth of Nashville has brought so many new people to the city. I have found that one of the best ways to connect in this growing city is to pick up a new hobby and get out of your comfort zone. Hopefully I will see you at the tile table very soon.
